A few Selkirk College students will be starting the new year helping some of their peers who are struggling to make ends meet.
Students in Selkirk’s School Of Health And Human Service will be partnering with the Selkirk Saints for their second annual food drive.
Donated items will go to the Selkirk College Food Bank.
Jane Green, an instructor in the Classroom And Community Support Worker Program says the food drive provides an outlet for generosity and calls it a solution aimed at tackling poverty.
The event is January 8th at the Saints game at the Castlegar Recreation Complex and students are asking fans to bring items that require minimum preparation.
