Plans to replace the highway bridge at South Slocan with rock fill aren’t sitting well with some residents.
They’re concerned about losing pedestrian access beneath the bridge.
Regional District Director Walter Popoff says a tunnel would solve the problem but it’s not in the plans.
Popoff is still hopeful it can be added.
An open house on the project is scheduled for March 1st at Mount Sentinel School from 4 to 8 PM.
