Tanya Wall will run for the Liberals in Nelson-Creston in the May provincial election.
She’s currently a rural Creston director on the Regional District of Central Kootenay board.
She agreed to stand as the candidate at tonight’s nomination meeting.
Wall says she’ll lean on her alternate director for help with her RDCK duties during the election campaign.

But if elected to the legislature she’ll step aside.
Wall is the Liberal riding association president and served two terms on Creston town council.
She will face incumbent New Democrat Michelle Mungall and the Green Party’s Kim Charlesworth.
