Open houses planned on new curriculum

The Kootenay Lake school district plans a series of open houses on BC’s new curriculum.

Learning services director Lorri Fehr explains.

Fehr explains one key change that affects the senior grades.

The new K-to-9 curriculum is already being rolled out but the 10-to-12 is still under review.

The meetings are as follows:

  • Crawford Bay school, Feb. 2, 5:30 to 7 p.m., MST
  • Mount Sentinel, South Slocan, Feb. 6, 5:30 to 7 p.m.
  • Trafalgar, Nelson, Feb .8, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
  • Prince Charles Secondary, Creston, Feb. 15, 5:30 to 7 p.m. MST
  • J.V. Humphries, Kaslo, Feb. 20, 5:30 to 7 p.m.
  • Salmo Secondary, Feb. 27, 5:30 to 7 p.m.
