Exchanges to continue with school in India

A student exchange between the Kootenay Lake school district and a school in India will be repeated.

Eight students came here last June from Rishikul Vidyapeeth school in Sonepat, India and then 13 students from L.V. Rogers in Nelson and one from J.V. Humphries in Kaslo paid a return visit in December.

International program administrator Sandy Prentice says it’s open to any and all.

Prentice is hopeful the next round of exchanges will take place around the same times this year.

She says there’s also a chance that one of the students from India will have his visa application approved to study here.
