The Kootenay Lake school district won’t use a headhunting firm to find their next superintendent.
But they will have help from outgoing superintendent Jeff Jones who plans to retire by the end of October.
He’s involved in the process although not the actual selection of his successor.
The posting will close Feb. 24 and the hope is to hire someone in April.
Jones says he and his partner love the Kootenays and will stay in the area.
