Creston museum welcomes heritage funding

The manager of the Creston Museum and Archives says new heritage funding from the Columbia Basin Trust is welcome news.

The Trust is putting up more than $6 million over three years to help preserve public heritage buildings.

But Tammy Hardwick says most older buildings in Creston are privately owned so might not be eligible.

Hardwick also welcomes $600,000 towards capacity building for local heritage organizations.
