The Town of Creston will be leasing an undeveloped property on Canyon Street.
The space in between Tivoli Theatre and Subway will be turned into a small green space for the public to enjoy.
The space was previously used as a public green space by the town’s Spirit Committee, but has fallen into disrepair.
The town has agreed to lease the space for the next five years at the rate of $1Â per year.

The town will be responsible for installation and maintenance of the property as well as paying the property taxes.
Mayor Ron Toyota says providing public green spaces and rest areas that are comfortable and safe will make the downtown area more appealing to visitors and residents alike.
